Lithuania is one of Poland’s neighbouring countries. It will be hosting 5 Ignatian Experiments during MAGIS 2016.

Lithuania has many beautiful natural places to see: the beaches of the Baltic Sea, an abundance of woods, lakes and rivers. Lithuanians are known for their hospitality, openness and cheerfulness.

Vilnius, the capital of country, has one of the biggest old city centres in the world. The famous painting of Our Lady of the Gate of Dawn is here and is one of the most important Marian shrine for Poles and Lithuanians.

Absolutely worth seeing is the 14th century castle on Lake Galve. Neither can you miss Lithuania’s crosses which are part of UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage. Many of them are located on the Hill of Crosses near Šiauliai. If you prefer the wilderness, you should visit Curionian Spit: it is 98 km long sand-dune spit with peaks of about 50 metres.

Come to MAGIS and discover this magnificent country by yourself!
