Allen Ottaro, who was responsible for managing the event MAGIS 2009 in Kenya, has visited the MAGIS 2016 team. On the 20th of May he met the Polish Jesuits, shared his experiences as an organizer, and talked with them about the importance of promoting ecology during the event.
Allen Ottaro is Director of Catholic Youth Network for Environmental Sustainability in Africa (CYNESA), which collaborates with the Jesuits. He was invited to Europe to take part in the discussion regarding the most recent encyclical of Pope Francis “Laudato si” (Be praised), which concentrates on climate change as a principal challenge for humanity.
